Rome: the capital of Italy

Have you ever visited Rome? If you haven’t, read this article! Rome is the capital of Italy and one of the most beautiful cities of the world. It is rich of old monuments, like the Colosseum: it is an ancient amphitheater where the Roman gladiators fought against beasts. Emperor Vespasiano started to build it and Emperor Tito completed it in 80 a.C.    Another famous monument in Rome is Trevi’s Fountain. It is the biggest fountain and one of the most popular in Rome. A legend told that when you are at Trevi’s fountain, you have to throw a coin into the fountain and your wishes will come true. In Rome you find the most important Catholic symbol of the world: St Peter’s Church in Vatican, where the Pope lives. Every Sunday there are a lot of people that want to see Pope Francis. If you are a football lover, I advise you to visit the Olympic Stadium of Rome. It hosts the two most important football teams in our Region: Roma and Lazio. They are in competition to be the strongest: in fact, every “Derby” makes a match very beautiful and exciting.

I LOVE ROME!!!
